President Felipe Calderon was accused violating the Mexican Constitution by the IFE (Instituto Federal Electoral), Mexico’s electoral commission. By a margin of 4 to 3 (with two councillors absent), IFE’s council determined that Calderon violated the Constitution.
According to IFE, Calderon broke Article 134 of the Mexican Constitution, by carrying out personalized advertising and using public funds for electoral purposes.
