Bill Pickett was a black American cowboy who invented the technique known as “bulldogging”.
In 1905, Pickett began performing for the Oklahoma-based “101 Ranch Wild West Show”.
The Wild West Show was a spectacular form of American entertainment of the late 1800s and early 1900s, which no longer exists. Those old Wild West Shows must have been something to see. And Pickett was a part of that.
