On August 11th, 2014, an official signing ceremony was held at Mexico’s Palacio Nacional, the ceremonial capitol building.
Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto signed into law a 21-part package of reforms to the Mexican energy industry.
This historic legislation is designed to open up the energy sector and make PEMEX, the government oil company, into an autonomous and more productive one.
